LaStella and Puello are the newest Angel "Mariner-killers", joining Trout and Calhoun.

Re: Ball breaker game thread

The Orioles and Royals both losing today. It's going to be tough catching them. I guess we'll have to settle for #3 draft pick at best.

Re: Hanniger to rehab with the Modesto Nuts

I take it this surgical procedure wasn't available when Paul Moyer suffered a similar injury.

Re: Ball breaker game thread

Austin Adams with quite the resume in his 18.1 innings of major league work. If putting these scrubs in to start games isn't an attempt at throwing games then I don't know what would be.

Re: Hanniger to rehab with the Modesto Nuts

I'm still confused as to what a "bruised testicle" is exactly and why it would keep you out of any games. I mean, if there's lingering pain, just take some pain meds and keep going. On the other hand, if it's a ruptured testicle......

Re: LAA Vs Seattle 6/8 GT

This Tommy LaStella clown is another piece of evidence that the balls are juiced. 14 home runs in 209 at-bats this season, 10 home runs in 828 at-bats the previous 5 seasons.

Re: Rashaad Penny

So which running back is best suited to the type of blocking scheme they run under Solari, or will the run plays be specific to whoever is carrying the ball? It seemed to me that the blocking last year was way mre vanilla than what they did under Holmgren.

Re: Jay Bruce not missing Seattle

Bruce is hitting one home run every 10 at-bats this season. Last year with the Mets, he hit one home run every 35 at-bats. If that isn't compelling evidence that the baseballs are different this year then I don't know what would be.

Re: Rashaad Penny

Carson and Penny have fairly different styles of running. I heard someone on the radio (can't remember if it was a guest analyst or one of the hosts) saying that Penny is a Shaun Alexander type of running back. In other words, he waits on his blockers then uses acceleration to burst through the hole...

don't think the Rays are concerned about padding the win totals of starters...think their front office is a little more advanced than that
Lightyears ahead of the Mariners' front office anyway.
