Re: Hawks sign a guard
Who would you guys take here. Zinter or Murphy. Zinter for me. G is a bigger need than DT as long as they are about equal in terms of BPA. Guessing the are about equal since one expert took one and one took the other. https://www.fieldgulls.com/2024/4/15/24131108/seahawks-trenches-mel-kiper-field-y...

Re: Calkins gets absolutely slayed for his inane column
Far be it from me to think very highly of Calkins, but to be fair, he didnt say Witherspoon was a safety, he said he "has the potential to be...", which i certainly agree with. He's an awesome blitzer, which can be better utilized from that spot than on the corner. and clearly he hits well enough to...

Re: Hawks sign a guard
Total waste of $4 mil. He, Anchrum, and Bradford is the worst OG group in the history of football. He is better than both of them 51.7 for Bradford and 46.8 for Anchrum. LOL echo that, and he has been durable and healthy to boot, so an upgrade from Haynes at least, not from Lewis. be interesting to...

Re: Not rebuilding this year per JS
In a videocast on the Hawks OL and QB Gregg Bell, as much an insider as anyone, points out an oft forgotten fact - that Carroll hired JS, not the other way around as is the norm. they always projected like they were in lockstep agreement, which was all certainly bought for quite awhile (and was like...

probably not a popular opinion, but i like McConnaughey, Costner, Kevin Spacey, and John Malkovich as well as Denzel.
and for supporting roles, Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Wallace Shawn (Princess Bride).

Well they all wear short pants like Fautanu. but that's about it as far as any resemblance.

Re: Later Rounds
Why settle on a lesser talent at Guard when you can get Fautanu in the 1st round? Use those later picks on NT, LB, S, TE, etc. The time for settling on second or third tier trash on the O line is over. A good O line makes everyone better. Agreed, nobody likes Fautanu more than i do. but he's no gua...

Re: Later Rounds
"I'm not wanting to offend anybody, but college football, offensively, has gotten to be really, really bad fundamentally," Cable said Tuesday on 710 ESPN Seattle radio. "Unfortunately, I think we're doing a huge disservice to offensive football players, other than a receiver, that come out of these...
