Jerry Koosman—Weird two years

He wins 21 in 1976, loses 20 in 1977!

Wonder how often that’s been done?

Hey Hy..if freakish weirdness stats is what you are looking for...go with the Knuckleballers.
If anyone had a mismanaged career it was Wilbur Wood.
Might as well look up Phil Niekro for a dose of weirdness too.

Great example, Moe, 4 straight 20-game seasons followed by 20 losses!

I love following the careers of knuckleballers, the Niekros, Charlie Hough, Tim Wakefield, picked up by Boston from the minor league scrap heap, had solid years.

Phil Niekro was a freak-ro, 318 wins, 245 complete games. Loved the old guys.

Joe Niekro had a solid career, over 200 wins.

Wilbur Wood had seasons with 48 - 49 starts in the 1970s...LOL.
With 50 WAR over 17 seasons he is one of the greatest pitchers with one of the most unique careers that I doubt very many fans fully appreciate.
I still would not want a knuckleballer pitching for my club if I was an Owner or a GM.
