Can't believe he is 28 but I guess that was the 2014 draft so.

God, hitter burial ground with Lewis, White, Jackson, Ackley all first round busts.

JKs OPS is at .658 after striking out in a PH appearance. I predicted a .657 OPS but clearly that was too high. Braves doing him no favor platooning him. He has no chance of getting on track sitting once every 3 games. Duvall, his platoon partner, also sucks so I bet the Braves trade for a bat for LF at the deadline and JKs career in terms of being a semi Regular will be over.

K's in 39% of his plate appearances.

Braves winning percentage on the season when he plays is .576. When he doesn't play its .833

Teoscar Hernandez is having a banner year. He's batting .252, but he has 8 dingers and is good for 1.1 WAR so far.

OTOH, he has 49 strikeouts in 152 PA which is a jaw dropping 32% strikeout rate (by my calculations, league average is 23%). If he has as many PAs as he did with the M's, he's on track for 217 strikeouts this season. But also 35 homers.

Tom Murphy was off to a shaky start with the Giants this year. Not doing great at the dish.

Then, he gets called on to start the game yesterday against the Phillies because the Giants's regular catcher (Patrick Bailey) got a concussion the night before.

Apparently the weather was crappy in Philadelphia, but they didn't call the game choosing to play through the rain. I guess Murph went to block a wild pitch and felt a pop in his knee. The prognosis doesn't sound good. Bad luck for Murph.

I imagine it's rather easy to hit in a lineup where 2x guys have OPS's over 1.100 around you.

He's also getting Los Angeles boosted. He has an .856 OPS at home, .708 on the road.

Put him in this lineup and he's hitting .200/.280/.400 with 60 K's.

He was never meant to be THE guy in any lineup. That's Ohtani and Betts' jobs.

He was all the buzz with hot start like last year and has quickly fell of a cliff not long for AAA

This one stings a bit - after sucking ass for the M's for 2 seasons (.213/.276/.342), Abraham Frigging Toro is finding some initial success with the A's.

The only Mariner with a higher WAR than him right now is Josh Rojas, and if he was still with the M's, he would be leading the club with OPS.

*sigh*

At least last season his hot start lasted 3 weeks. This season only 1 week.
