If you pause and play this every couple of seconds there are some real blasts from the past. It is in chronological order.

That K/9 is particularly outstanding. It's like a great closer, but he pitches 9 innings every day.

Mariners are really doing opposing pitchers a great service.

Why are opposing starters only averaging 5.1 innings against us? Pitch counts? I guess when you strike out that much rather than put the ball in play it results in more pitches per out.

Looks like they've got Jose Baez listed first possibly because of the alphabetical order of the opening day lineup. The first Mariner (who actually took the field as a Mariner) actually appears to be Diego Segui, who was signed before the expansion draft.

Paul Blackburn struck out only 3 batters in 7 innings in his last start and has struck out only 31 batters in 42 innings, so there's a decent chance he won't strike out 10 of our guys. Thoughts and prayers.

Aye carumba.

Go get Mason Miller. Shuffle around the back end of the bullpen. The dude is lights out - maybe we will see him close out the game tonight for the A’s.

Rumor is the A’s are listening to offers.
