I just meant sluggers put runs on the board in ways like Healy did today on the sac fly. Things we've been missing for years- scoring runs on 3rd with less than 2 outs, for example.

Yeah, I like Santana, I just think he may end up better utilized as a DH if his defense doesn't dramatically improve.

Santana has looked better lately - he's no Clint Frazier! I love his skill set, and hope he can eliminate the mental lapses.

Back on topic, I would like to see Beckham at 2nd before giving up on him entirely...good idea. Hopefully we can trade Gordon for something decent.

16 doubles already. Had 15 all of last season. On pace for 1.6 WAR. Not great but sure beats the neggy WAR he put up last season.

And that's with a defensive learning curve the first month or so, he seems much more settled in at third at this point, actually making some nice plays recently.
