Yep, he had given up 5 bombs in his last 6 outings and he put him in because he was right handed. Apparently unaware that Elias has only given up a .452 OPS vs. RH hitters this season. I swear the next time they talk about analytics I am going to lose it. Something so basic as knowing Elias' splits is just to much data I guess.

I could see them just continuing to post at the Times site but they have all literally ceased posting. Bizarre.

I think there are some people who just havent registered here yet, but are observing.

People tend to accept change at their own pace. This forum seems as easy or easier to use than the Times forum so hopefully they'll come around. This board has actually seemed to bring out some welcome voices from the past.

I don't know about youse guys, but I could do with a little gary lemons writings about now..

The spam really was an unfortunate development at the Times because it was always the best way to be in touch with like-minded fans. Other sites never got what the Times did right, a forum for fan input and discussion.

Joan went above and beyond for us to try and keep it clean, but it looks like they needed an update on their forum software to include captcha on registration or something I dont know.

Anyways, I am (as I'm sure we all are) very grateful for the years and years I spent on the Times forum. Never knew Joan was volunteering her time just to keep the place habitable until recently. Very cool. Thanks again Joan!

We now have 82 members vs. about 4 on the time site. Well 5 if you count both of Lives/Hardcore's IDs. lol

I really doubt the Times cares at all about this site. It's not like the Forum was generating any income for them.
