Over the last 10 years of completed seasons, including postseasons, these are the teams that averaged a .540 winning percentage or better:

Dodgers
Yankees
Cardinals
Guardians
Astros
That's it. That's the list.
How about Dipoto just doing it
It's silly to post this and not apply context...

Painting 54% as some stat that indicates success is insane. There's a multitude of factors that hinder a team who wins 54% of their games from reaching the optimum success. One staring you straight in the face is that the Astros are in our division and have won 62% of their games this past decade which automatically puts any team in that division with a 54% win % behind the 8 ball.

What is that 8 ball?

Over the past decade, 26 division winners have made the ALCS or NLCS. Only 10 wildcard teams have made the ALCS or NLCS.

I mean, what is the window with this pitching staff? How many years? If they don't go for it now then they're just plain stupid.

2 more years. They'll be lucky to sign one of Gilbert or Kirby and hope that Miller and Woo reach the level of Gilbert or Kirby.

Their pitching pipeline is empty right now.

"Rally Sausage" sounds like the nickname an 80 year old man might give his penis.

I don't feel this comment was given the proper acknowledgement. I was actually sitting here laughing out loud!

Attempting to sustain success with this pitching staff would cost them money, that is resigning players. Going for it over the next couple seasons to take advantage of it would cost them money. Something either way they don't seem inclined to spend

You're welcome. ;)

I actually chortled a bit when I thought of it.

The goofy shit that goes through my brain...

And have you seen the thing? It's looking positively syphilitic. They'll be lucky to get another game out of it. The rally sausage, that is. Not the 80 year old's penis.

And it's dumb and will likely lead to more slightly above average results.

Their prerogative and fans prerogative to get angry about their support not being reciprocated.

Yeah, it's interesting in its genuineness. Everything is so contrived these days. Now that it's gotten publicity it's moist likely co-oped into another gimmick

Seriously not sure how many more days they can hoist that nasty thing. Without getting food poisoning or something.

Was fun while it lasted.

We can argue 54% ad infinitam but here is what I think is important. We have the resources to improve the offense and seem to be sitting pat. I just don’t think we can sustain on pitching alone
