Taijuan Walker and Danny Hultzen -- two of the Mariners' Big Three pitching prospects from 2013 -- were non-tendered today:

Well Paxton is definitely the biggest of the little three

Before Hultzens injury, I wouldn't have traded any of the Big 3 for Justus Sheffield straight across.

Sheffield doesn't seem any kind of special to me.

At the same time Marco Gonzales doesn't seem like any kind of special in my opinion either yet here we are.

If they can both be #3 pitchers for the next 3 and 5 years, we could have done a lot worse.

Paxton wasn't leading us to the playoffs either (or signing an extension, Boras) so at least we got something, as opposed to the Jack Z approach of talking big trades up until you get cold feet and pulling out at the last minute.

No but I believe Dipoto will make a run at Paxton when he becomes a free agent next year. This team would LOVE to have him back in the Msple Grove!

Especially now that the King's Court will likely be no more!

How much you wanna bet our fans go ALL OUT YELLOW, the first game Felux pitches back in Seattle with another team!

This seems really odd to me. He is only owed 4 million and he did hit well for the Mariners before getting banged up
1st half:
.286 .354 .496 .850
His awkward start in the outfield can be attributed to the position switch. I guess Domingo is one of those guys that plays 1 position at a decent level but goes full-frontal if moved.

Oh well.

He wasn't good in RF defensively either

Addison Russell would be a nice addition, imo. Crawford started hot but fell off the planet offensively. No reason to hand him anything.

Right, he still sucked. I mean, he was better, but not enough to quantify him taking up a roster spot at $4.4 million and preventing the youngsters of their developmental time at the Major League level.

Boy those first 15 games were sure fun to watch last year!

it wasn't just the Mariners setting his value, they were trying to trade him, it would seem nobody else felt he was worth the $4.4 mil either...
