Bellinger isn't just fast for a slugger. He's one of the fastest players in the Majors. His sprint speed this season -- that's his average top speed on max-effort runs -- is 29.2 feet per second. The MLB average is 27 ft/sec. Bellinger ranks among baseball's Top 20 fastest runners by sprint speed, out of nearly 400 qualifiers, and he's the Dodgers' fastest player.

Good, maybe the Mariners will do the prudent thing like the Dodgers did and move him to the outfield to accommodate another bat-first player at 1B.

Hoping White brings the lumber to Seattle that's been missing so far so he actually hits like a 1B. Because Casey Kotchman with speed is still worthless.

Not final yet but the checked all my references yesterday which is usually close to the final step. Hopefully none of my references told them I spend all day here!

guess Bellinger played a fair amount of outfield in the minors...you know the thing with White playing first base, it seems that is where he wants to play.

yeah, just sort of seems odd to me, a kid with all this speed and athleticism loves playing first base...where did he get that from?
