Well, he did pinch-hit a grand slam. That was a flash. A really brief one, but a flash. ;)
If were digging this deep, Doug Strange hit a pinch homerun in the '95 run in August to catch the Angel's to win the game. He ended up with 3 all year. Lol
I was at that game! Strange I recall hit the hr against Jeff Russell of the Rangers.
Yep. Though it was Sept. not August.

Yeah I seem to recall it happened late in the season. So September makes sense. Didn't we start to the run in August though?

Yep. Late August. I remember exactly where I was, pulling out of the Gold's Gym parking lot in Kirkland when Griffey hit the bomb to tie it up in the 9th vs. the Yankees on August 24th....On the play before somebody it a soft liner to short that went off of Tony Fernandez glove. If he catches that we might not have a team right now.

The year Griffey broke his hamate bone in May, running into the right field fence.

He still has one hell of a handshake! You ever hear Nolan Ryan tell his story about "Snow-monkey's"? You can Google it. I watched him give an interview at Ticketstock on 1310 The Ticket of Dallas. The crowd was laughing so hard. We were all like, if he wasn't famous you'd think he was crazy. "Those Frickin' Snow-monkey's man!"

Here is the clip of him telling that exact story. He references the state of Washington.

You want a story? Google "George Brett has a story to tell." It isn't really suitable for work, but freaking hilarious!

Dan Howett. He hit the last home run off Nolan Ryan. Nolan then retired and Dan might as well have too.
I was at that game.
I was in section 122 about 1/2 a section from whete the ball landed.
