I watched from the 10th floor deck of the 2nd and Seneca (Ban roll on) building with my family.

We watched from our living room, which was then up in the forest on South Tiger Mtn. I was sad to see it go, although I was very excited for an outdoor ballpark, and Safeco was better than I could ever hope for.

I still have a couple of post cards showing the artists impression of what a new park would look like across the street from FX McRory (also sadly missed), and just north of the Kingdome location. It was tentatively called King Street Ballground, and looked a lot like Jack Murphy stadium in San Diego.

M's first game at the Safe was July 1999. Kingdome was imploded March 2000. It made way for Century Link field. I actually went to a Hawks game at Husky stadium.

Well, Safeco capacity is 48,000, and average home game attendance last year was about 22,000. So, they should be able to space everyone a little bit. :D

Maybe they’ll offer a Surgical Mask night.
Mariners mask night. LOL
Heck, why not have Knife night too

Man, time flies by so quick. I remember waking up early at 9-10 that Sunday to watch the demolition.

Scary thing is to think how quickly those twenty flew by and then think how old you will be 20 years from today..............Life's short.

I'm telling you, it seems like a lot of writers lurk these forums. Back on the old ST forum, I would bring stuff up. Within a few days or week, there would be articles on the exact things I mentioned. This didn't happen a lot and it could have been just a coincidence, but I did notice it right away.
