Great game for Kuchi, he was firing it, and this one's on the offense. I don't know if it was wrong to leave Swarzak in there, that wasn't even a strike Naquin hit. I think it's more of a matter of this team doing whatever it took to lose this game. Beckham getting hosed at third was huge. And two balls he hit just missing leaving the yard, that's just bad luck.

The batting averages across the board look horrible

True.

Kikuchi has been flashing that he is more capable than a mid 4's era pitcher. 13-2 start was great but now it is a 5-14 stretch since. The M's probably deserved the win but that was not the result.
