AA Arkansas Travelers

Post by Hanjag » Mon May 06, 2019 4:57 am

The Travelers have several players of interest.
SP:
One of the minor pick-ups from JD was Ricardo Sanchez.
Sanchez LHP 1.75 ERA in 6 starts.
Major pick-up Justin Dunn 3.2 ERA
Both have a whip of just over 1.1
BP
Warren has 100mph and a 1.04 era
bettered by
Altavilla with 0.0 in 5 appearances.

Position players: Travelers have 4 major prospects. They are White, Lewis, DTW, and Fraley and they have the 4 top OPS's on the team.
Fraley and DTW both have over .900 OPS and each has 7 SB.
White and Lewis have both been OK .759 and .768 OPS
All four of these players have an OBP focus on their game.

Yeah, Lewis hitting .240 but with obp of 100+ pts higher, .342 at last check. Would like to see him raise the BA another .35 pts or so

Can't fathom why Warren is stuck in AA given his age, stuff and our weak pen.

He's on the Edwin Diaz career arc.

Granted, they're starting at different ages..

Travelers were in Springfield today to face the Cardinals and came away with an 8-2 victory pushing them to 23-14 on the season.

Positive storyline of the day is that Justin Dunn went 6 shutout innings. Cards only managed 4 singles and Dunn struck out 7 (92 \ 64).
Negative storyline (at this point sort of expected) is that Altavilla gave up a 2 run hr in the 8th.

Lewis had a double in 5 ab's. RF Aaron Knapp hit a grand salami in the 3rd. DTW & Fraley were both hitless. AT's buddy, Jordan Cowan was 3-5.

Yup, the man keeps changing his handle yet he is always recognizable.

Some here on this new, wonderful forum remain unwilling to reveal their former selves. You know, cloak and dagger, spy and undercover stuff. What are they hiding from?
