[Mariners Minors] Julio Rodriguez in his last 10 AFL games: .389/.476/.500/.976, 14H, 4 2B, 5R, 6RBI, 5BB, HBP, 8K, 3SB. He is the youngest player in the entire AFL.
Even with his slow start he has just under .900 OPS despite not having any HR. .405 OBP overall.
Sept call up at age 19. Book it.
This is premature, and I normally hate this kind of jumping the gun stuff when it spewed from my brain to the keyboard but I think he is our Soto/Acuna jr. The skills are all there but I love the guys mentality and brain you can't teach that stuff.

I don't want to rush him. Start him in AA next year then possibly move him to AAA to end the season. Maybe start him in AAA in 2021 and move him up midseason when he's 21

I understand that notion and if he hits a speed bump sure that what will happen but Soto went from A to A+ to AA to the majors in one season, that was last year. I don't think we see that progression from Julio but if he is ready he is ready.

My biggest fear is we have tried doing that with players and it's ended with epic failure (Ackley, Zunino)

Im no Jerry fan but I don't think he would rush a player ahead of schedule just for the sake of it.

I already did, although I did put in a caveat.

Kelenic definitely seems more introverted. Julio wil be the vocal leader, heck, even if he makes it next year at 19 (and Im predicting he plays in September if he stays healthy) he'll probably be the vocal leader then. It's not like Seager or Haniger are that type.

Soto and Acuna seem to be handling it OK
