Just enjoy jabbing players with bad OPS whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Sometimes even when I need to create the opportunity just to get you dorks riled up about your players "deserving to be in the lineup no matter where they play" because they "have a .360 OBP!", like that means anything.
Gotcha. Seemed a jab at other posters and it didn't make sense.

It takes a kicked ball to get out of that inning.

I’ve been an optimistic fan for such a long time. It’s wearing pretty thin at this point.
Just give up any expectations for wins this season. Take the pressure off. No punt in getting worked up over losses when multiple scrubs who won't be on the team next year are starting
Exactly, I see every day on twitter people freaking out about how bad this team is with guys like Court and Milone and Magill and Broxton on the team. Who cares.

Id venture to say that maybe 5 players on this roster will be starting in 2021. Santana/Vogelbach(I See one as the DH, and the other being moved), Crawford, Seager(maybe), Kikuchi, Marco.

I see them trading Santana by midseason next year for the following reasons... More expensive with fewer years of control, arguably more value in trade than Vogelbach (as NL teams more interested since he can play OF), lots of OF depth in the minors, so I don't see him long term in RF.

Santana's OPS is just went under .800. That's only good for 19th of 31 RFs and 18 of 21 LFs. His one tool isn't even very good right now. He isn't good enough to be a starter on a championship team and is worthless on the bench.

It was better when there was more protection in the lineup. I think thats a part of it. He's definitely not elite though. I like the idea of a Haniger (RF), Fraley (CF), Lewis (LF) lineup most of next year. Keep Lewis in AAA to start the season, and Mallex or Bishop can start CF until then. Maybe Mallex starts hot and they can get something for him in a trade. Bishop is a perfect 4th OF imo.

btw Seager is at 1.1 WAR after 60 games which projects to almost 3 WAR for a full season. That's over $20 MM in value.

Yep. That moves Vogey to DH and pushes out Santana.

Vogey doesn't have far to move in that case thank goodness. :)

Seriously.. How about they worry about the players they're actually treating like part of the plan that are terrible.

Which, 4 years into his MLB career, you're right, Santana should be doing better.

That said, hes still just entering the typical prime age. Why'd he start trying to pull the ball anyways?
