Re: The Strange Career of Rick Porcello
Seattle Sports Insider had a saying for years that I still believe in. Stars and Scrubs.
Pay your Trouts. Your Goldschmidts. Your Kershaws.
But for the love of God, the guys getting between 8 and 15 million, how often are they worth it?
I'd let them move on when they get expensive if they're not a star.
Always after their replacement if they're barely hanging onto their position.
We already have guys that deserve to play ahead of Dee Gordon and we all know it. What we're seeing now is exactly what happens every time with this organization. Will probably see it again with Felix, but at least that will be a farewell. Gordon will be a sayonara.
Out with the good, in with the bad. That's how the M's roll.

At least with Hosmer, his off years are at worst, average, Porcello’s are lousy.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 8:37 pmSame with Hosmer only he likes the odd years.........
