Going 12-28 is nowhere near out of the realm of possibility. They went 12-37 from April 12th -June 4th. Even recently they haven't been playing much above that pace. they have won 15 out of their last 40 which includes 6 wins against Detroit. They only have 3 games left against teams below them in the standings.
With 3 games there’s a chance

Guess they barely miss out

It’s going to be close, but I’m still going to be wildly optimistic and stick with my earlier, old-forum season projection of 91 losses...and yes, I realize that means about .520 ball from here on out.

I don't think they will lose 100 but this year I really don't care about... In fact, while I know that the draft is almost always a crap shoot I would almost prefer the Mariners to lose as much as possible this year to get a higher pick next June.

I predicted 57 wins. Bad estimate. Didn't take into account that there is soooo many below average teams this year.

I thought they would win around 75, I didn't take into account that Kikuchi was going to suck, and thought LeBlanc might be at least close to what he was last year.

I liked the outfield when it was Domingo, Haniger, Mallex, Bruce 4 to make 3.
1B,3B, DH combo of Seager, EE, VB, Bruce, Healy 5 to make 3.
Catcher looked good with Omar I had no idea Tom M would be a nice #2.
2B -SS Dee- Tim Beckham with a trade of Dee or Tim or both and JP and Shed Long taking over mid-season.
BP had some pasta to see if it stuck.
I was very disappointed in Kikuchi, Marco is a decent building block he has been about a 2.5 WAR pitcher for the last 2 years. LeBlanc, Felix just noodle armed stiffs that depend on umps being nice. Leake a legit #3. I thought Justus would replace a traded Leake mid season.

I thought the bats would be fine but the rotation lacked an Ace and the BP was gutted. I did not gove a prediction this year but probably would have went mid 70s.

Felix just needed a change of scenery. He is almost unhittable in Everett!
