You must not have watched the Huskies games. I watched every snap and Westover will be TE3 or even TE2 by the end of the season. With Fant, Brown, Westover and Barner this is an above average group with the potential to be very good in Grubbs offense which Westover is rather familiar with.

Not a lot of receptions but Brown was 13/15 with 16 yards per reception. 73.3 PFF rating.

He was a sneaky good signing.

Westover will be on the practice squad to start the season unless you think they would carry 4 TEs or risk losing a guy they used a 4th round pick on. Or do you see them cutting Brown and eating the cap hit?

Good point. Yes, he is my least fav pick.

I just don't get this angst. We had a complete DOGSHIT D last year and everyone is afraid because OLD Bobby and Meh Brooks are gone. The signed on LB that was highest rated LB by PFF and one that was average and drafted a guy that had million tackles last season but we are worried because we don't know exactly what we are going get??? Really??

https://sports.mynorthwest.com/1775433/ ... tion-mark/

PFF
Bobby 82.4
Brooks 57.3
Baker 66.6
Dodson 89.5!!!!!!!!

We also had Trash Can Bush. Never been a fan of bush. lol 57.5 PFF

Dodson and Baker are good coverage LBs but i think there will be a drop-off in run support which hopefully won't matter because Murphy and Williams will close down the running lanes.

Honestly the only position group that we have that I would describe as any better than mediocre is the receivers.
QB 5
RB 6
WR 9
TE 5
OL 5
DL 6
LB 4
CB 6
S 4
ST 6

I don’t disagree a lot. I do like our RBs and curious to see how they are used. Last year it was so stupid to watch them take two backs with different skill sets and use them in ways that were entirely different than their skill set.

I am also a bit more optimistic on DL. I think our two big gets from last year benefit from a coaching change and that Murphy is a big add.

QB 5
RB 7
WR 8
TE 5
OL 5
DL 7
LB 4
CB 7
S 5

Probably shouldn’t even have said “disagree”. I really only changed a few of your rankings slightly. I feel like this team could stumble and only win 7 games, but the new regime could also have them hitting in all cylinders quickly and we win 10 or 11!

5.6 rating which equates to 9 wins with 10 as an upside. Very reasonable assessment.
