Supposedly it was who he wanted to replace Pete, it's just interesting it's what ended up happening
After the request, Seattle almost immediately moved forward in trading Wilson. Alongside just wanting Carroll fired, Wilson had a replacement in mind. He wanted Sean Payton as his new coach in Seattle. Now, the pair has been united with the Denver Broncos.

Broncos now have a better record than the Seahawks. Now that is some Amusement.
Amusing, but hardly surprising. Things can change quickly in the NFL.

Not denying the story, I’m denying that it would have worked. Wilson’s ego was out of control. He wouldn’t have been OK playing this way if he didn’t get his way, get total control of the offense, have his own office and staff, and spend the entire summer hearing how great he was, then fall flat on his face.

He needed to be shown that THIS is how a team with him at QB wins, but I don’t care who the coach was….they wouldn’t have convinced him until he got humble one served to him all last year.

Who knows, I was basically kidding about actually doing it. But they fire Pete for him and let him pick his own coach, then he rebels against the coach? That would have been interesting too. So then maybe he gets traded anyway and the Hawks end up with Payton.

The professional sports scene around here has been a real let-down the past few months.
Except for Husky fans :D :D :D
with NIL we can now call them pros, right?

Yes, Penix I think made more this season than Geno did last.

So, yes these are professional players now.

Since I don't have NFL package bullshit to watch the Donkeys vs. Lions tonight, has Russell reverted back to Scented Perfume Pride not Mr. Unlimited Russell, or are the Lions just wicked solid?

Donkeys and Wilson probably just pissed their playoff hopes away.
What a comeback only to choke with two minutes left and the freakin ball.
Wow. Coal in their stockings.

Clever clock management by Payton.

Lot murmuring about Russell getting traded again
