Yes, because winning is a problem.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 4:39 amThe Texans seem to have the same problem as the Seahawks of taking their foot off the gas with a lead late in games.

How did that work out in Super Bowl LIV? When you have them down, keep pounding 'em with everything you've got.
Re: Ravens v. Whiners
Is that the Falcons one? Had nothing to do with "foot on the gas" Clock management and not running the ball caused that. The very thing you are complaining about is how you prevent a team from coming back. When you pass incompletions stop the clock and give your opponent more time. Or even worse a turnover. That's what the Falcons did.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 6:53 amHow did that work out in Super Bowl LIV? When you have them down, keep pounding 'em with everything you've got.

Sorry, i meant SB 49, not 54. The one where the Seahawks went up 24-14 with 20 minutes to go vs the Patriots.

This year, the Ravens have played the Patriots, Seahawks, Whiners and Steelers. It would not be surprising if they have to play 3 of those teams again en route to a Superb Owl. It might not be as easy the next time around.

I can guarantee you they won't be playing more than two of those teams againOso Dorado wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 2:18 pmThis year, the Ravens have played the Patriots, Seahawks, Whiners and Steelers. They had injuries to key players that game. Cliff Avril and Jeremy Lane were killing it before they got hurt. Tom Brady had 2 INT and no TDs prior to those players being out.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 11:30 amSorry, i meant SB 49, not 54. And Hawks still should have won that game if it wasn't for well... Had nothing to do with "keeping foot on the gas" or whatever the fuck that means.

A 4 and out and two 3 and outs prior to that last drive, with a lot of run plays if i recall. That was turtling up and hoping Brady wouldn't do what he had a reputation for doing.

Seahawks were in a position to win that game.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 4:52 pmA 4 and out and two 3 and outs prior to that last drive, with a lot of run plays if i recall. That was turtling up and hoping Brady wouldn't do what he had a reputation for doing.

They did play aggressively after Baldwin's TD. After the Patriots punted Wilson completed a 25 yard pass to Lockette but then Kearse dropped a bomb, forcing a punt. On the next drive Lynch got stuffed twice and then Wilson got sacked. On the first play of the third drive (and the Patriots went three-and-out twice) Wilson fired a dart over the middle to Lockette that would have been a big gain except that Malcolm Butler blatantly tackled him before the ball arrived. Somehow this huge non-call got swept under the rug even in our minds. Between that, the injuries, and what Bevell did, the Patriots were totally gifted that game.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 4:52 pmA 4 and out and two 3 and outs prior to that last drive, with a lot of run plays if i recall.
