So pompous ass Clayton was saying this morning how he hopes everyone that was rooting for the 49ers are happy (I assume because their rooting led to the 49er victory?) btw if we win out we are still the #2 seed and maybe #1 seed if NO loses again. I don't see the problem especially given that the 49ers would still likely would have won the division even if they lost and beat us at the end of the season.
After last night’s debacle, I’m not happy about much of anything!
Terrible afternoon and evening for Seattle Sports.

If Hawks win out they are the #1 seed in the NFC . They have all the tie breakers. If NO won that scenario wouldn't be possible.

We lose to tiebreaker to NO if we both win out.

No we don't. Both teams will be 13-3. It goes head to head than division, common opponents. . Conference and then strength of victory. Etc.. They dumped to Atlanta. Remember? Hawks have all the tie breakers.

If there is a 3 way tie at 13-3 then we might win the tie breaker.

yes, i think clear that if tied with ONLY NO, they win, hawks lose. what i am more wondering about is GB - who wins that tiebreaker? also i wonder about a 3-way tiebreaker between GB, SEA, and NO. fortunately GB still has to play Minnesota, as well as division foes Chicago and Detroit, so at least a decent chance they lose one more. #1 is nice but bigger concern is getting the bye (#1 or #2). all moot of course if we dont win out.

You're original statement, though, wasn't quite true. You said...

Because unless Green Bay also won out, we would lose the tie-breaker to New Orleans. But yes, in a three-way tie the Seahawks and Packers would have better conference records than the Saints, and then it would go to common opponents where Seattle is 5-0 and GB is 3-2.
