think this thread title is meant to be read, not heard. or maybe that's intentional, as he seems to have blown his chance of capitalizing on FA :?:

I think it speaks to there not being bad blood or something like that, its a business, its an odd situation, both the Hawks and Clowney are trying to make the best of it.

all this stuff makes it sound like he is acting like his own agent, that is what's odd to me, where is his agent?

I am sure they do, but to me its like he is operating without one, everything is always in this first person sort of way, Clowney this or that. For me i thought part of their job was to take the heat, be the spokesperson.

Bus Cook is his agent...
Mississippi's Bus Cook is one of the very biggest names in sports representation. Cook attended American University in Washington D.C. on a basketball scholarship and worked as an attorney. Bus Cook's clients seem to reveal a pipeline to the finest talent in the Deep South--Brett Favre, Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss and Cam Newton to name a few.

I don't quite get it - if he is down to 13mill/year as reported - why have we not signed him? That seems a heavy team friendly deal to me. It is the low number they reportedly offered him so what gives?

I don't think he wants to sign with the Hawks at that price because he still wants to talk to other teams, in that sense i don't think he really means it, that his price is there now. It seems confusing, why its like there is no agent involved
