Jets Acquire Russell Wilson (Maybe)
Jets Acquire Russell Wilson (Maybe)
Looks like a blockbuster trade involving Russell may actually happen. Nothing new, but this breaks down the possible trade and we get Garapolo and Bosa. Yippee! Does this make us better? Probably not.

Re: Jets Acquire Russell Wilson (Maybe)
wtf? Is this mother-of-all-deals in the works?
Re: Jets Acquire Russell Wilson (Maybe)
Unless Garapolo has added protection, this sounds like a backward step for the offense. Mostly it sounds like wishful thinking by the mouths on the boob tube, but it could happen. Acquiring Bosa sounds like a good idea, but giving up Wilson makes the whole thing feel like one step forward, two steps back.
And how many teams make it to the Super Bowl with a second tier QB?

Re: Jets Acquire Russell Wilson (Maybe)
Nick Wright of Fox Sports prefaced this as a "fake trade" proposal, something that has way too many moving parts to come to fruition. Then again, he called it a "masterpiece," a deal that's flawless for all four teams.
Here's the blockbuster trade, revealed Friday on First Things First:

Apparently you missed the thread where everyone made fun of this trade proposal and the entire Twitter world was calling Nick Wright a joke?ddraig wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 6:17 pmLooks like a blockbuster trade involving Russell may actually happen. There's not a snowball's chance in hell that this happens. The proposal is the equivalent to a Somebody's Son trade proposal thread.

And did so well that his team won? Yeah, that Jimmy. @nd tier QB's don't usually win because so much comes down to the shoulders of the QB. Jimmy may have been there with his team, but who was he playing against and how well did he protect his 10 point lead in the 4th Quarter. I'll give you that he made it there, but he didn't win, did he?Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 6:30 pmYou mean besides last year when Jimmy G played in the Super Bowl?ddraig wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 6:23 pmUnless Garapolo has added protection, this sounds like a backward step for the offense. On any list, I don't think Garapolo is anywhere near the top 5. At least Wilson flirts with it occasionally.
