Packers to release DT Mike Daniels

Post by IStillLoveTheMs » Wed Jul 24, 2019 4:27 pm

Hopefully the Hawks can pounce on a "cheap" one-year deal. Pro bowler who suffered a foot injury against the Hawks.

One of the better interior rushing tackles in the NFL over his career. Also solid in the run game.

Looks like we signed former 49er Earl Mitchell.

well i guess they have enough youngsters in the rookie 1st-rounder, Green, Jefferson, and Jones as the inside rusher that they feel need some PT to see what they've got in the first 6 weeks, rather than a more proven but short-term solution in Daniels. makes sense longer term. just dont see what Mitchell really adds when you already have Poona, Woods, and Meder for the early downs.

There's still young to be more camp cuts... Who knows who might be available?

How much cap room do we have left.
