While talking Tuesday following the fifth practice of training camp about his excitement for this season, Brown said something that may get all those critics who fault Carroll and Schottenheimer for running the ball too much drooling over their keyboards and phones about the coming season.

“You know, we are opening up the playbook a little bit this year, so I am excited about that,” Brown said.

“Just having fun with it.”

Hey you never know with PC. He could have Brady, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones and Randy Moss all in their prime and would run first even if Eddie Lacy was his #1 RB. :)

He is stubborn but not stupid. I liken it to Shula getting Marino. He loved a ball control offense too but C'mon. I think he is trusting Schottenheimer more now too.

How about trying some screen passes to Penny or whoever?

They did that last year.

Yeah, I think the lack of screen passes was more a Bevell and Cable issue, not an O Lineman and RB issue.

I miss Bevell and Cable about as much as I miss the flu bug that hit me last December!

Maybe you can hook up with Prosise and get a two for 1 flu shot this year! ;)
