Go Cardinals! Game thread

Post by D-train » Sun Jan 07, 2024 12:31 pm

Worst case scenario is we win and the Packers win. I don't see the Packers losing. I think a losing season means at least a shot of a new face at HC next season so I will be rooting for the red team today.

From NFL.com
Seahawks to evaluate future after season
The Seahawks always are evaluating and updating contingency plans in the event longtime coach Pete Carroll, now 72 years old, decides to walk away.

Seahawks chair Jody Allen usually meets with Carroll and general manager John Schneider in the days after the season concludes -- which could be extended by a playoff run, with a win Sunday over the Cardinals plus a Packers loss to the Bears gets Seattle in -- any decisions will wait until then.

Carroll is under contract through 2024, with an option for 2025 that can be exercised in the offseason.

My money is on this being Pete's last game as coach of the seahawks. winning or making the playoffs simply doesn't matter anymore - this staff is shot. There is no way to justify scheming a prevent defense against third string QB's "to prevent the big play" while giving up 250 yards rushing - and Seattle has been doing it and losing this way for years now. Love Pete and all he's done - I do not care who wins today - this team is flat out unwatchable - and they have been for some time. Are there any fans left that want to see this movie anymore? He has to step down to save the franchise. No way the fans want another season of losing to the Colt McCoys of the world. We are past the same cliche's and the soundbites. This is not sustainable if this franchise wants to be taken seriously - they have become embarrassing on a regular basis.

First drive already explains so much.

Exactly. 2nd and three in the shadow of the Goal posts and you gain zero yards on two downs. So weak.

Hope we lose.

Geno fucking sucks and the sooner we can axe his ass the better.

Nice throw to a wide open DK. Telegraphed every pass so far.

He fucking sucks.

It’s Competition though. Tell that to Drew.

Pete just doesn’t do that anymore.

Like love playing second fiddle to Adan’s all year till the end.

Competition my ass
