Nice. I somehow got Penix at 56. I will be stunned if he falls out of the first though.

Love it. This would be a good draft for sure. Sweat maybe in some hot water now. But, love the variety.

For the non-QB-obsessive types out there...

The write-up on Barton...
Graham Barton
OC
Duke
Height: 6 - 5 |
Weight: 313 lbs |
RAS: 9.99
Strengths

- Extremely explosive athlete off the snap who channels burst into awesome power

- High-level space blocker with range, energy, power, and a gnawing finishing mentality

- Easily acquires proper pad level with effortless knee bend and well-proportioned frame

- Has shown he can combat extensions with independent hands while keeping synergy

- Can process stunts and blitzes in pass protection and has good angle IQ in the run game

- Has pre-existing experience at center and projected versatility across all five OL spots

Weaknesses

- Arm length is below average, which could force a move inside at the NFL level

- Longer opponents can more easily get inside his frame and drive power through

- Sometimes widens his hands too far in his stance, exposing himself to power

- Doesn’t have elite play strength and can be displaced with power on the backside

Barton looks good. Saw him mentioned somewhere yesterday.

A little Sweat news that I bet he is Sweating right now. Why would even get into a car two weeks before the Draft??? Imbecile. Maybe if we can get him in the 5-6th round.

Not sure I can stomach taking a guard or center with our first pick...

I will say though, half the 1st and 2nd team all pros at the guard and center position were 1st rounders. I'm just not sure how much it really matters.

The Hawks made 2x super bowls with makeshift guards... Paul McQuistan and JR Sweezy...

Max Unger was a middle 2nd round pick... that's when I start thinking of potentially taking a guard or center.

I no longer consider Troy a Guard so I would be good with him at 16 or trade to the mid 20s and take the best G available would be ok. But that's it.

Barton is rated higher on the draft simulator than any of the guards and he can easily shift to guard if Olu sticks at center.

Getting him at 33 seems more than ok.

Having a Barton on the team will give me PTSD.
