Smalls is out
I am not devastated by this, but some of the rumors circulating bother me. He is upset because we haven't "kissed his ass" is basically one of the rumors Brock and Salk are talking about now. Seriously? Go to WSU and play WR then dude. Come on. Seriously, WSU is offering the best defensive player in the Country as a WR, and because of that he still has them listed as a possibility?
I understand if you just want to leave, don't want to stay in Seattle to play....but this is the part of recruiting I hate. The Huskies put more kids in the Pros than anyone else in the Conference, and most everyone else in the Country. So, go to WSU and play WR kid, come one man!

I'll be more bothered if we miss on Tuimalao the Eastside Catholic DE in the following year. Got a couple nice edge rusher types in this last class with Latu and Taylor. My scouting friend says he's overrated. but then he's a duck fan and they just got a similar player in this class in Kayvon Thibodeaux. Can only imagine if they land Smalls too - Dawgs better get some great pass-blocking Tackles.

Didn't want to ever have to use this line, butttt...
You're killing me, Smalls!!!

Re: Smalls is out
downgraded from overall #4 to overall #17 in the latest update from 247.
Re: Smalls is out
it's the offseason. who has stepped up that much to surpass Smalls? 247 is kind of annoying to be honest. Not nearly as bad as Luginbill and ESPN but still pretty bad. It's not uncommon to see the programs like UW and Nebraska and Utah have their commits suddenly take big falls in rankings just because Alabama or Clemson isn't on them and vice versa. The kids those guys are on become higher rated kids. No wonder why Alabama always wins the recruiting class rankings, eh?
Re: Smalls is out
And btw, looks like what Smalls said back in May is not holding true so stay tuned.

Bama winning the recruiting war isn't the only thing they win. Imagine if the biggest disappointment you suffered for two years was losing the NC game!?
It looks to me like their recruiting rankings are far from inflated.

Well it helps when you get placed as preseason no. 1, play nobody over 4 noncon games, and then maybe 2 ranked SEC foes all season. Even if you lose one of those 2 games, you're likely still the top 1-loss team because of preseason biased narratives.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 7:26 pmBama winning the recruiting war isn't the only thing they win. Alabama's a joke. Shouldn't have been in the 2017 playoff after losing to Auburn and should've lost to Georgia in SEC champ last yr. God damnit

I don't like BAMA, but hard to argue with their success.
