I'm sure he's an absolute legend at Florida since he never played a down of football in his life. I'm sure the math club and the Glee club talk about him to this day though. Lol
Not sure that matters really. It's his alma mater.
I know it is but do you think there is a single soul still there from when he was there that would even remember him. What is he going to do hold up his diploma during the intro presser and have everyone cheer that he has proof that he went there?

Spurrier was a star QB there and Harbaugh a QB at Michigan so I get it but I just can't fathom he has a burning desire to go back to freakin Gainesville Florida especially since they have sucked for years. If he does you can tell me I told you so. :)

His longest stint in coaching was 4 years with the Ravens. Maybe that's not unusual but it does seem like he is a guy trying to move up the career ladder as fast as possible.

And now he has arrived and is at his final destination no reason to move on. Prior to this job he was either an assistant or at a basketball school with a massive budgetary fiasco going on

Yeah, pointed this out as well. UW isn't an obvious stepping stone, it's more a destination. Unless perhaps the NFL

Yep, in my lifetime only Sarkisian and DeBoer have left for "greener" pastures and they will both end up regretting it....

The guy has been a HC exactly once, turned a program around and turned it into a better job. You people act like a guy leaving a job as a WR coach is somehow a big deal.

But his WRs on the 1998 New Jersey Red Dogs were Devastated! He should have been loyal!!!

Was that one of those arena league teams where they played on a 60 yard field and there was no out of bounds lol.

btw I was wrong about him not having Florida football ties. He was a GA for 2 seasons at the turn of the century. I am sure he has had a blazing fire in his loins for the past 25 years to get back to that magical time with his Alma Mater.....

Moore predicting he goes to Florida
If Florida posts another losing record in 2024, you can almost guarantee that Napier’s a goner since Scott Stricklin, the man who fired Mullen, is still the AD at Florida. If that happens and Washington has a reasonably good season, Fisch will be on the next flight to Gainesville, and he’ll trade that purple tie from Tuesday’s news conference for an orange and blue one when he’s introduced as the new coach at Florida.
