From what I saw, Wilson looks like a good QB. The Huskies pass rush and secondary better be ‘on’.

6 Pac teams in top 25. First time in 4 years
That sounds great until you notice that the top one is #10 and four of them are in the 20-25 range.

If Cal beats Ole Miss and the Huskies take down BYU, those rankings will improve.

Edit: Well, Cal did it's part (albeit just barely), and the Huskies are in good shape at the half, but #10 Utah got knocked off by unranked USC, so our overall status won't improve much. Still, beating an SEC team on the road doesn't hurt the profile.

17, not bad after losing at home to Cal. So if they run the table and beat Oregon, Utah and USC (all at home), they'll at least end up with room to spare in the Top Ten. Can't see that getting them into the Final Four though, they'd have to dominate and lot of things would have to happen back east.

Oregon - bye
Cal - vs ASU
UW - vs USC
Utah vs WSU
Colorado - bye

The three key matchups feature ranked vs previously ranked or lower ranked teams. Theoretically, home teams should win, but ...

We are kind of in a catch 22. We need Cal to win as much as possible to make that loss look better but we need them to lose twice in order to win the division. Its probably going to take either the Big 10 or Big 12 having a 2 loss conference champ for the Pac to get a team in the final 4.

It's probably going to take both of them having a 2-loss conference champion, because that leaves Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Notre Dame to leapfrog. It's pretty much assured that Clemson and Alabama will be in, as well as another SEC team.

The SEC Teams have a lot of games to play against each other. They will take care of them selves. For instance, Auburn plays Florida, LSU, Georgia and Alabama. Between all the self cannibalization and another loss in the Championship game I don't see them getting two teams in. Notre Dame would be the one to worry about. They have three ranked teams left on the schedule. Virginia, USC and Michigan. None of whom look that great.

My only saving grace is that somehow we tie with one Conference Loss to Cal, but we get the Final 4 birth, but I don't see it. Pretty much just rooting for Cal to lose two and we go to the Rose. Had held out hope for a three way tie in the North with one loss, and I guess that is still possible if we beat Oregon and the Ducks beat Cal. But, not sure how that tie is broken. Does the Rose pick? That Cal loss really hurts. I have harped on the false star and the drops, but when we were up 10 we had a quick turn around and went for the throat....a skinny post to Bryant, and our future NFL TE ran a route so lazy it was disgusting. INT and the next thing we know, instead of up 17 to 0 and rolling it is 10 to 3!

Reminded me of at Utah a few years ago. Up 14 to 0 with the ball Jake throws a pick and soon the score is 14 to 7.
