GOP Debate Fun Facts

Post by Cascade Kid » Tue Aug 29, 2023 10:50 pm

Fun fact about the GOP debaters in Milwaukee. This had to had been the shortest group of presidential candidates in an opening round of debates of all-time. The height of each debater starting with the shortest, in accending order.

Nikki Haley a respectable 5'6"
Asa Hutchinson a vertically challenged 5'7"
Vivek Remaswamy a beanpole height of 5'7"
Doug Burgum an rollercoast ride qualifying 5'8"
Ron DeSantis a deceptive 5'9", but the legend has it that he is at least 6'5"
Mike Pence an average American height of 5'10"
Tim Scott a respectable 5'11"
Chris Christie a vertical height of 5'11"
Although not present, and third tallest president ever, Donald Trump a media contested 6'3"

There you have it. If history serves us the same trend that it has over the last 4 decades (since Carter's one term) then it will be either Trump or Biden winning the general election.
If Vivek runs the board then he would become the shortest president since William McKinley whom was unfortunately assassinated during office in 1901. And if Nikki Haley pulls off a historic victory then she would be the second shortest president ever, and would be the shortest president since Benjamin Harrison (1893).

Presidents under 6 foot since WW2
Harry S Truman 5'9".
Jimmy Carter 5'9-1/2"
Dwight D. Eisenhower 5'10-1/2"
George W. Bush 5'11-1/2"
Richard Nixon 5'11-1/2"

Shortest president
James Madison (1817) 5'4"

If you you want something said, ask a tall person, if you want something done, ask a short person. :)

Chris Christie a vertical height of 5'11"
Doesn't matter......standing up, laying down, he is still 5'11.

POTUS fun fact:

John Tyler, the 10th POTUS grandson is still alive. Tyler was born in 1790, 233 years ago.

He was 63 when his son was born in 1853

His son was 75 when the grandson was born in 1928.

The grandson is now 94.

That is awesome.

I wonder if my wife of 34 years will let me have another child when I hit 70?
I'd say, most definitely not.
