The bigger question is - what is the end game? Kamala in office? Downgrade Brandon as a candidate so the Dems can usher in the next corruptor-in-chief Newsome? What is the actual game plan here? What will happen? Nothing. The 'deep state' is too deep to let anything happen. We, the people, are their cash cow, they ain't gonna let that just cease.

Unless there is some huge revelation/new evidence, there is almost zero chance the senate votes to convict. I'm not even sure the house republicans would be united enough to pass articles of impeachment without new evidence.

Remember when McCarthy only won the speakership on the 15th vote and said that no one would remember that? Well ... McCarthy's deal with the Freedom Caucus to secure the speakership is back in the news. Republicans in "swing" districts want to house to pass a budget and forget impeachment. But McCarthy's slim margin of support depends on holding everyone together. And (it was part of the deal with the Freedom caucus to secure the speakership) a single member of the house can bring format a motion to vacate the speakership.

They are not impeaching him, yet. They are just looking at the overall evidence and trying to obtain more.

What Nancy and the Dims did to Trump was just to have a vote to impeach, then sent it to the Senate. They never investigated the impeachment....or if you say they did, they did a pretty shitty job of it.
