Its funny - that always helped us in the past as UW almost always had a better offense. Last year Leach just refused to run the ball when it was impossible for Minshew to see more than 10 feet infront of himself, lol. We had and still have the best RB in Borghi and he just wouldn't do it. Our D sucks though so I think this will be something like 50-45 - not sure who wins but I agree - I thought we should have won last year and think we should this year as well - but we always have a way of pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory with uw.

I honestly hope the Cougs win to ensure a major shake up at UW with Hamdan being fired.

It just isn't Leach's style. That being said, how many times do you hear that slippery conditions are better for the receiver, because they know where they are going and the defense doesn't? I think the biggest issue is what it has been for seven straight seasons...the short passing attack doesn't work if you don't miss tackles. Borghi beat the defender to the edge or made someone miss a couple of times on the first TD drive. Not so much after. That offense doesn't stretch the field, and for some reason, Washington's defense attacks that better than most. Like I said, there was only snow in one of the seven games, but the results very similar in every one. Until Leach can stretch Jimmy Lake's defense I don't know that will ever change.

If Borghi was as good as he thinks he is, I'd agree with you. But sorry, Miles Gaskin was the best back on the field for four straight years.

sorry dawg fan here - not trolling, but seriously interested in who the reporter was that Leach went off on in the postgame. clearly some history there - can anyone give the backstory?

I grew up in a small town in Eastern Washington, and I recognize the name...he has been doing this for a long time. That is about all I know. I did hear from some Cougar fans this weekend, who are big time Leach apologists, so grain of salt....but they said the word is this guy was very complimentary of Doba and Wulff, and not so much of Leach. Who knows?

I also asked them about Borghi, basically calling his team mates soft, and pointing out that even though he talks mad shit, he treats every game the same and his team mates don't. When asked how to change that his response was "I don't know, maybe not be soft?" I asked them about that, how they felt, and they seemed to shrug it off. I don't agree. And if I was one of those guys down in the trenches and not running little swing routes all game long and dancing out of bounds, basically never getting hit, I might ask Max why he feels the need to talk shit before the game about the opponent and then after the game about his team?

If that is what Max really feels, handle that in the locker room or at the next practice. To me, it reminds me of Pornstache walking around Martin Stadium in a snow storm with no shirt on and a massive strut....PRE-game. Then standing their crying crocodile tears AFTER the game. Bad look. Borghi was simply pissed that his "I'm going to score...a lot" mouth wrote checks his game couldn't cash...but, obviously it was his "soft" team mates fault.

So, I would ask this forum both of those questions. How did they feel about both Leach and Borghi post game. I'd have been less than impressed. It looks dysfunctional, IMO.
