Re: Minor League Updates
From the MLB.com Pipeline feature on the most improved farm systems: 6. Mariners (No. 11): The first jump came courtesy of the Robinson Cano trade and was buoyed by strong first impressions by Jarred Kelenic and Justin Dunn after coming over in that deal. Both 2018 draftee Cal Raleigh and trade acqu...

Re: RIP Jim Bouton
I read Ball Four three times and carried away something different each time. My grandmother gave me my first copy in 1970 when I was 14 years old and I was fascinated by the tales of sex and partying. I read the book again in the 1990s and was interested Bouton's description of baseball's early labo...

Re: Wow, this is a really cool sortable way to track prospects
I like this prospect tracker as well: https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2019-in-season-prospect-list?type=0&sort=-1,1&team= Each year during the All Star Game my fantasy league has a draft that permits each of the 10 teams to select two prospects at league minimum salaries. Tonight after...

Re: Encarcion to yanks
When we traded Santana for EE we added the 77th pick in this years draft ▪ RHP Isaiah Campbell, Arkansas (CBB, 76): With the CBB pick they gained — along with Edwin Encarnacion — from the Indians this season in exchange for Carlos Santana, the Mariners picked up the 21-year-old power pitcher. Campb...

Re: Encarcion to yanks
Does anyone really believe this was the best return we could have gotten for Encarnacion ? Another arm on the pile that Servais and DiPoto can root through and consume, like gulls picking apart garbage ? Does anyone believe that Jerry Dipoto offered Edwin Encarnacion only to the New York Yankees?

Re: Beckham rocking a 140 wRC+
The most fascinating numbers may be the .131 and .238 BABIP from Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnacion, respectively: https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2019&month=0&season1=2019&ind=0&team=11&rost=&age=&filter=&players= Of course when either makes contact...

Re: 5/5/2019 Mariners vs Tribe Finale Game Thread
The Mariners have outscored the Indians 21-18 so far in six games this season but will likely finish with a 1-5 record against the Tribe:

Re: Forum members introduce yourselves
I am an old guy who got hooked on the Mariners in 1995 a year after moving to the Pacific Northwest just before the 1994 strike. While studying for an exam in 1995 I had the Mariner radio broadcasts on as background noise. I was captivated by the M's late-season surge to advance to the postseason. E...
