Re: Most cursed sports city
The Bruins had the best regular season in NHL history a few years ago and then honked the first round of the playoffs, while the 18-0 Patriots blew it in the Helmet Catch Super Bowl. Even the best sports cities aren't immune from getting kicked right in the balls. Let's count rings after the helmet...

Re: Kraken contract efficiency ranked dead last
Everything about this team is a joke, from the virtue signalling arena name to the clueless front office and greedy owners. I don't know about greedy owners (like Michael Douglas said in Wall Street, "Greed is good"), but my wife and I toured the arena two years ago and our guide was just all BLAH ...

Re: OT-PGA Tour Championship
Holee Sheet! I can't believe I'm leading for once, especially since I have no idea how the scores are being tabulated for this. If it holds up through the weekend, I vow to figure out how the eff it happened! You know you are only winning because you didn't pick you guys right? And I am...

Re: A question to those who voted for Trump
What about the guy in the audience behind Trump that got hit and died? Option 1 = They took out some random person while faking an assassination attempt. Option 2 = They faked the death of the random person while faking an assassination attempt Option 3 = Presidential security broke down, a real as...

Re: OT: 2025 Open Ch'ship Contest & Tournament Discussion
I just cancelled Sling and signed up for Youtube. It has network channels right? I am watching the British open but I had to search for it. Isn't there a guide that you can scroll up and down and quickly find network TV. When I tried that I couldn't find ABC, NBC CBS or Fox. YouTube TV is Awesome. ...

Re: Way too early offseason
Naylor has never really been a top tier first basemen. This year he is 13th in fWAR, 14th in HR, 15th in Slugging Percentage and Fangraphs has him ranked 18th in Defense. That is firmly middle of the pack. I would like to aim higher especially since we have so much trade capital. . I agree on Naylo...

Re: Most cursed sports city
That is one single sports team. You combine the BS I mentioned in the game thread between the Sonics, Mariners and Seahawks? I think it's a no brainer. It's us. Even our positive are followed by bullshit. Kemp get pissed about the contract they give the great white hype, and that team implodes....a...

It hurts the M's as they will only have a 24 man game roster for 10 games.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 8:13 pmTen games for standing up for himself when his organization and team wouldn't. Joke.Southpaw773 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 8:06 pmHe’s been suspended by MLB for ten games.
I don’t know that we need him anyway.

Re: Kraken contract efficiency ranked dead last
Here is what the Athletic wrote about the contract inefficiency: Here’s the best way I can describe how bad Seattle’s cap sheet looks. If you used the remainder of Seattle’s cap space ($7 million) and added another million bucks with careful accounting to add the league’s best contract, Jack Hughes ...
