Re: 2025 Prospects Thread
We're only a few weeks away from the draft. Who is the guy we take at 3? My bet is what LH pitcher is available between Arnold, Doyle and Anderson. I prefer Anderson from what I have read. Maybe they look at prep, star Hernandez I believe but RH preps that high are huge gamble as many haven’t succee...

Re: Our really weird WHIP/ERA splits
I don't think its as far out of the ordinary as you think. Rodons WHIP and ERA numbers are almost identical to WOO. Look at James Taillon. WHIP of 1.04 (13th in MLB) ERA of 3.84 (45th in MLB) M's Staff is 18th in WHIP and 18th in ERA so hard to say there is something systemic. Gilbert's case is the...

Re: Another trade deadline plan.
His contract isn't that outlandish and is in the range of contracts they've been comfortable offering. I do wonder again... what were the terms of Jerry's extension? Will he be a bit more brash if he is indeed on a short leash? He claims they will be giving him financial flexibility to make the tea...

Re: Another trade deadline plan.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a ownership group and front office that would even consider taking on Olson's contract? His contract isn't that outlandish and is in the range of contracts they've been comfortable offering. I do wonder again... what were the terms of Jerry's extension? Will he be a bit ...

Re: This was interesting
Liberalism is a mental disorder where you think that government can solve the problems created by government. This explains how we ended up with the recent inflation cycle. Print more money and you end up with inflation even though the money didn't go to those of us in the country. Buy Bitcoin

Re: Geekie and Donato
Two of the guys Ron "Lighten Up" Francis let go after the playoff run in year two. This season Geekie has 26 goals, Donato has 25 goals, and the top goal-scorers on the Kraken (Schwartz and Tolvanen) have only 21. Donato is a big surprise, but Geekie looked like he would reach this level. Why Franc...

Re: NBA's Hilariously Ironic Dilemma
I think all the social justice shit in sports is horrible - you don't end racism by putting "End Racism" in the NFL endzone. I just shake my head every time I see that, they might as well put "End Greed" or "End Lust". No racist is going to read that and go hmmm, I think I should stop being racist....

I like your list but I would add 2....Cijntie and Sloan
I think both will ultimately be high end SP for the M's. The staff is young, but no one has signed an extension. Castillo will be moving on and with injuries and potential free agency, the M's need to keep high end starters in the pipeline.

Re: Should Dipoto and Hollander be fired?
Good points by pretty much everybody. Seems like the one thing besides not making the playoffs that has been just as consistent is Dipoto wasting $30+ million in available payroll on several bums instead of one or two good players. From Wade Miley and Nori Aoki to Donovan Solano and Mitch Garver. A...
