I'd sure like to pry Stephen Kwan loose from Cleveland. Nice to have a home town boy who is a bonified lead off contact hitter. No idea what Cleveland's needs are.

As usual we lived by the sword and died by the sword. We struck out more than twice as much as Toronto with a lot of them on pitches out of the zone. We obviously need to sign Naylor and a bonified leadoff hitter like Kwan. A left hand power reliever to compliment Spier would be helpful. Bottom line...

Seems to me we have been living in "Live by the sword. Die by the sword" mode all season. Our lack of plate discipline and failure to execute small ball when needed is biting us in the ass. Most of that seems mental so let's see what happens the rest of the way.

Don't know if I'm now the elder statesman on the forum at 80 and a stroke survivor but I've got to be close. I can testify for going to several M's games their first season while working on my Masters at the U.

I don’t know what our record is when we strike out in double figures but my guess is awful. Could one of you metric gurus check it out. We just don’t put the ball in play enough even though the pen imploded

Fergie is simply a guy you want to hit against. He can’t throw his fastball past you and there isn’t much speed difference with his breaking stuff. Soft contact my ass.

Watching Milwaukee put the ball in play and not striking out. Impressive.

I’d go with the extra position player and I’d make it the best contact guy for scoring that needed small ball run.
