Re: Breaking we just got Donovan!
There's no longer any room for him on the team No there's not. But if the youngsters don't perform or there's an injury. You never know. The Met's who are predicted to win more games than we are would also have to suck and be sellers at the deadline. Not sure why you think that is going to happen. ...

Re: Breaking we just got Donovan!
JP should be one of those two but for some reason he thinks he is a HR hitter. I mean, his OBP isn't that much lower than Donovan's. But his OPS is about 70 pts lower. From everything I'm hearing about Donovan is that we will love him. Like I said, I am a firm believer that hitting is contagious. P...

Re: Breaking we just got Donovan!
Yep, my kind of player. I think they are necessary for a healthy lineup. Stick one in front of a couple of big boppers. JP should be one of those two but for some reason he thinks he is a HR hitter. I mean, his OBP isn't that much lower than Donovan's. But his OPS is about 70 pts lower. From everyt...

Re: Breaking we just got Donovan!
Gone are the days when there was nary an opposing general manager that didn’t relish ripping off Jerry. Chalk it up to the fact that after a series of lousy draft picks over the years, Jerry’s player development/evaluation team finally got it right. Now they’re able to secure solid position players...

Re: The official Hot Stove League Thread 2025-26 Offseason
$115M for 3 years of Framber Valdez.... $45M for Jorge Polanco... Ok, forget it. Dipoto's strategy definitely beats buying into that market. There were still low cost floaters available like Moncada or Arraez, but at least there aren't any obvious black holes besides Refsnyder and Young. And maybe ...

Re: The official Hot Stove League Thread 2025-26 Offseason
I don't think that link will open so I copied it. I think it explains pretty well really how today's hitters have to sell out looking for certain pitches and swing hard at them. Refsnyder basically evolved into a hard swinger getting some success at the latter part of his career. He's less of a com...
