That being said my HS Wrestling team won the State title in 1985. Meadowdale in Lynnwood. Literally every guy in every weight class was one of the best....Almost never losing.. I think Randy Couture was from Lynnwood was he on that team? I never heard of him and I was the Sports writer for the year...

Fangraphs has Luis at 3.8 fWAR and Cole at 1.9 fWAR....

Personally, I've never put stock in fWAR as according to it Yusei Kukuchi was a GOOD pitcher in a Mariner uniform.

Kkuchi had 2.4 fWAR in 3 seasons. That's not even close to good....

That was a bit before my time we got water breaks. Practices were still brutal. We did a 3 mile run before practice even started then we would drill for an hour and a half followed by full all out wrestling for 15 minutes and then close everything else out with wind sprints at the end. I never ran track but did a lot of distance running for conditioning for wrestling. I think I got down to about a 6 minute mile at one point which means I would have been lapped by track milers.
