Re: Rock on the bump Game Thread
The Marlins are miles out of first place, and they aren't going to compete this season. Ever frugal, the Fish may be looking to shed salary and rebuild (or continue their rebuild). Luis Arraez has another year of arbitration left. He would be a helluva an upgrade over France at 1B. His trade value ...

Re: Ms Prediction
Astros would have to go 83-53 the rest of the season to match the 90 wins they had last year.

Re: NFL DRAFT chat
I think they tried to trade back but nobody was offering enough to make it worthwhile. The jags traded back from 17 to 23 and only netted a 5th rounder this year and a 3rd and 4th next year. Nothing to really get excited about with a trade like that.

Re: No ROOT Sports this year
I have Fubo as well but its getting expensive in its own right. Increased $25 a month over the last 2 years. I used Stream east for a season before that. It works but it was really a pain to get it from a computer onto my TV and the resolution wasn't great.

Re: Former Mariners tracker
In other former Mariners news, I was watching the Jays game last night. They’re looking like they’re starting to click. Yusei Kikuchi tossed 6 innings, and apart from a few hiccups, he looked really good. Why wasn’t he this good when he played for us? He’s 2-1 on the season with 33 SOs and a 2.38 E...

Re: Why not give elite starting pitchers the ball more often?
Let me remind everyone of Jim Palmer, Mike Cueller, Dave McNally and Pat Dobson The only one of those guys whose arm died early was McNally's at 32. I wonder what it was those guys did differently where they could throw 250 - 300 innings per season and make it as far as they did. You'd think that s...

Re: Why not give elite starting pitchers the ball more often?
The M's did that all the time with Felix. Look where that got him. Out of baseball at age 33. The highest number of games you can start in a season on a straight five-man rotation is 33 (33/33/32/32/32). Felix started 34 games three times and 33 games twice. If you start opening day and pitch every...
