Re: M's Rays trade
That is one of the reasons I have been eyeballing a move to the pen for Justus. He is just not working out as a starter... I think everybody is tired of seeing Justus suck every 5 days, but when healthy he's actually not a bad option at #5. But it would be nice to upgrade that slot. In my ideal wor...

Re: M's Rays trade
I am sorry. There is no concievable argument that Castillo is an upgrade over graveman. Graveman has more than double the WAR and his ERA is almost 2 runs lower. I know this isn't what you're saying, but the actual trade was Graveman for Toro. So two months of Graveman for a player that the organiz...

I don't think clubhouse chemistry is complete bullshit, but I do think it means less in baseball than the other major sports. Basically, what always seems to be true is that good players win games and winning games is what leads to good clubhouse chemistry.

I wonder what the Dodgers acquiring Turner means for Corey Seager in the offseason. That is, if it actually happens.

Shenton though? Didn't you guys like him? He's a good hitting prospect but probably limited to first base. Pure hitter type though. I commented a week or two ago in one of these threads that I thought his role in the system was trade bait and I was right. He's also from our local area - Bellingham ...

Re: M's in on Berrios?
I think Sheffield has a chance to be one of the better BOR types in the league. He has three distinct pitches with the fastball, changeup, and slider, with the slider a legitimate out pitch. What holds him back is mediocre command. But I think if he can stay healthy and pitching, it could very well ...

I'm sure Kikuchi will be back. He's better than a lot of alternatives and this organization in particular seems to want to always have at least one Japanese player on the team. They might renegotiate the deal though.

Re: No SoDo Mojo fo Odo: 7/28 G/T
Does this look like a bullpen that should be removing quality arms? Maybe the emotions were too much, but these guys hardly look ready for the big time. It's not that our bullpen is bad, but more that Houston is just really, really good. That lineup is tough and I wouldn't be surprised to see them ...
