What a difference it makes having actual hitters 1-9.

The biggest problem for Castillo is vs. lefties. Three years ago, he had one of the best changeups in baseball, which gave him an asymmetric against lefty hitters. Without that pitch, he's got nothing vs. lefties and they just rake him over the coals. What happened to the pitch? Can he get it back?...

Castillo's gotten steadily worse each season with the Mariners. But he isn't that old and his fastball velocity has only gone down a little bit. I wonder if he just doesn't work that well with the analytical style of the Mariners pitching coaches.
