Just an FYI, the AZ and FLA summer rookie leagues start on Saturday. They moved them up this year and I believe will finish up around the end of July or beginning of August. The idea is to avoid the worst of the August heat. Presumably, we'll see a number of guys get promoted once the rookie leagues...

But, looking through his plate appearances on baseball savant, I noticed he's being more aggressive on pitches outside the zone, which might be an adjustment he's working on to take away more of those edge pitches...

I think OPS is fine but it is more for the casual fan. WRC+ is more exacting but my brain likes to look at BA, OBP, and SLG first and then I look over to WRC+ or OPS+, depending what site I'm on.

Didn't watch the game. Glad they won though. Clase got a hit. Good for him in his debut. Julio got a hit and a walk and a K, which is fine, but I looked at his plate appearances in baseball savant and he should have had a hit and 3 walks with the way they were pitching him.
