Re: GT 134 Woo vs Darvish

Note on Bazardo... he's increased his sinker usage by almost double compared to last year and is throwing it 35% of the time. He has reduced the use of 4-seamer by a similar margin, seemingly swapping use of the pitches.

The sinker has a positive run value of 10 and is why he's been so good.

Re: GT 134 Woo vs Darvish

Andres 4 seamer this year has an XSLG of .627... last year, .392.

He's got an expected BA+SLG of over 1.000 on that pitch.

It has been sitting 96-98... I wonder if he's gotta get back up over 100.

Andres gotta do some work on his fastball.

It's getting absolutely shelled.

Re: GT 134 Woo vs Darvish

Bazardo. Man, there was a time we would watch him pitch with our hands over our eyes. He's not the best bullpen arm ever, but you have to admire how he puts everything he has into every pitch he throws. This is going to sound crazy. But I think he has the best raw stuff of anyone in the bullpen.

Re: GT 134 Woo vs Darvish

As a reminder, Fangraphs thinks Bazardo is just .2 fWAR better than Legumina.

So anyone got a problem anymore with bringing in Geno?
I don't recall anyone having a problem with that trade.

The problem was that Jerry'n'Justin didn't fix the bullpen.
Read further.

Vogeldork about had an aneurism when Geno was 1 for 10.

Damn.

Welp, for some reason SD has decided they want to hit the baseball often this series.

Woo needs to shut them down tomorrow.

Re: Tue 26th - Vedder Cup Winners Celebration Party GT.

So Cole Young has already changed his batting stance.

He is now resting the bat on his shoulder instead of moving it multiple times over before he swings.

Seems odd.
