Re: Trade Deadline untouchable prospects

For me the reality of making trades this year is there is not a good bargain the be had with all the buyers and very few sellers. Then there is the fact that this roster is very flawed and will take much more than one bat to fix it. Instead I would like to see them clear out the dead wood this winte...

Re: 6/15 ROSTER PREDICTION

I think Polanco is best fit for DH'ing.
Get him off the field where he is not very good and hopefully keep him healthy..

Re: Cal Raleigh extension

I wonder how much his relationship with Dan Wilson played into his decision to sign? It seems like a home team discount and it frees the team to finally make a decision on Harry Ford, change of position or trade him? At least this team finally wisely invested in a worthwhile position player, give th...

Re: Haniger Released

A necessary move that the mariners have not done very often.

I even think they handled it with some class and hope for the best for Mitch.

Possibly this could be the beginning of a new way of thinking around these situations? Eating the money is abnormal for this team.

Re: An interesting experiment... maybe

So, I just completed a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball draft, and I drafted nothing but Mariner players. I really, REALLY don't expect to win my league, but it will be interesting to see how the season shakes out. Drafting nothing but Mariners wasn't too tough, for the most part I just went with their ranki...

Polanco had one month with an OPS over .700

Sounds like a perfect Mariners DH.
He can't possibly be worse than Garver, lol!

Re: So it begins, The official Hot Stove League Thread 2024-25 Offseason

The only thing that makes sense is if they use him as DH and not in the field. When he is ready to play one or two Mitch's could be sent packing. He is an injury risk as well as a not so great fielder in my opinion. There is some hope that with a repaired knee his bat at DH will be better than the a...

There is no excuse for Mariner ownership but baseball now has 4 real financial divisions:

1. Super spenders
2. Big spenders
3. Cheap bastards
4. Really cheap bastards
5. 50 feet of crap
6. John Stanton
