All these guys are called up way too early.
Yep.

So Dipoto can save money by not filling holes with "expensive veterans".

Re: Salary Arb numbers

But being able to afford to keep guys like Logan Gilbert is why we didn't spend a few years ago when Dipoto coined the term "the crest" to fool people into thinking spending was going to be too high by 2026 to be able to afford to keep these guys if we had signed free agents in 2023 or 2024.... Now ...

Re: Playoff thread

There's more to it than just spending, obviously. Dipoto, for example, could have $200M and still just whiff on all his free agent picks. Because he's a nerdy pitcher who knows nothing about hitters. And it shows. Unfortunately, Dipoto and Hollander are idiots who have no idea how to build an offens...

Re: Current payroll down to $132M

That whole "2026 crest" thing didn't turn out to be all that cresty.

Just more BS from Traitor Jerry to hide the fact they were just going to pocket the savings from the "step back".

Agreed. Lack of spending isnt the Mariners problem.

Re: An off-season plan based on Dipoto and Hollander's comments.

They have the need to listen to an outside voice to see where they went wrong because Dipoto has no idea what he's doing.

He needs somebody to do his job for him.

SoB, I admire that after this debacle of a season you still have enough interest in these losers to put the effort into a plan.

Re: More sackings

Quit the fucking micromanaging. The GM supply the players the rest is up to the players. Fucking hold players accountable The players we had were the problem imo. Dipoto didn't add anything meaningful to the lineup, which forced Cal and Julio into the roles of "the guys" that they don't even believ...

Anyone with an opinion can be right on occasion (not this time). Shit, even I agreed with some what what Biden said. I also agree with some of what HAMAS has to say. But nether of those mean that 'someone' is right. Solid reasoning here. But really I think the point of the post was basically the ol...
