McCutchen out for the season, trading for Bruce became a better idea I was thinking the same thing when I heard about the injury. Bruce just became a regular OF instead of a 4th OF. Guessing if JD would have held out one more day we could have got more than a powerball ticket of a "prospect".

Shin Soo Choo who we traded for Ben Brousard hit his 200th HR tonight. Little Ben hit 15 for us in two seasons......

DTW has fallen off a cliff lately. .086 in his last 15 games. .074 hitting counting 0-2 so far tonight. He was at .313 and is now at .238. Theory: In the draft Dipoto was trying to create tremendous depth behind his pitching- knowing he needs to hold on to his position player prospects- because, say, Logan Gilbert had become valuable enough to trade to fill a current void. The guys Dipoto drafted are probably closer to MLB than Gilber...
