Re: Former Mariners

Found this interesting and intriguing on multiple levels. 1.) Ryan Yarbrough, who I thought had a solid future in Seattle went to the Rays in the infamous first Mallex trade. " January 11, 2017: Traded by the Seattle Mariners with Carlos Vargas (minors) and Mallex Smith to the Tampa Bay Rays for Dre...

Re: AAA Tacoma

There's already a minor league thread. It's easy to miss because the forum admin moved it to the "announcements" area at the top of the index. Don't know why they didn't just make it a sticky thread. I don't care it is not sufficient. I like tracking each level. Tracking each player is too much. On...

Re: Not So Trivial Trivia Quiz

Ichiro was ROY and MVP the same year Nice catch...! Many, many years ago I made a nice catch! Had a friendly softball game at a party at a friends house. No idea how drunk I was but it didn't matter......everyone was drunk. Nobody had gloves or equipment because it was an impromptu, friendly, low k...

Re: JRod

And when he does he better not get hit by another pitch or he'll be held out for another 2 months. smh. This organization really likes to handle prospects with kids gloves. I saw that Dunn hasn't topped 90 pitches in any of his starts... barely going 5 innings Growth. Observation. Acclimation. Mari...

Re: Paxton to the IL

Yeah, I think the cashin probably would've been best last yr at the ASB but obviously we were hunting a playoff spot and there was no desire to look into that. It was the second trade Dipoto made and he was looking for pitching to add to the hitting that we already had, I suppose. Hopefully Sheffie...

Re: Dip does it again-acquires Austin Adams for milb Nick Wells

Adams just might be a solid bullpen righty. I suspect, until learning more that he throws heat. As a reliever, 12.7 K's per 9 innings. In limited MLB it's up to 15.4 K/9. Flip side, he walks a lot of batters, he throws a lot of wild pitches and, quite frankly, I'd be scared scatless to dig in. He s...

Re: Minor League Updates

After 5 innings, at home, Tacoma is ahead of the Albuquerque Isotopes 5-0. Tommy Malone is still in there pitching in the 6th. In fact, he just retired the 'topes 1-2-3 in the top of the 6th. He's given up just one hit, a single and has mowed down 7 on 73 pitches. Mallex is 2-2 with a pair of doubl...
