Re: Emerson and the roster
I still think that hyper Jerry screwed him up, switching him from position to position, never letting him get comfortable. He had a hole in his swing that took ML pitchers and the sophisticated scouting system of the majors to finely figure out by his second season, and once they did he was screwed...

Re: Emerson and the roster
We all remember Dustin Ackley, he hit .303 in Tacoma in 2010, scouts were saying he was the best hitter they had ever seen! Can’t miss said his college coach. And his best season was his first, when he hit seven triples, spraying line drives all over the place, baseball fans were excited all over Se...

Looks like the goal for the starting pitcher is five innings now, what a farce.
The next rule change will be you can be the winning starting pitcher if you go four innings.

Re: Where the hell is everyone GT 4/5
To me, Naylor is a head scratcher. He’s been traded four times, for not much, and in eight years has but 8 WAR. Curiously, Cleveland dumped him just after he hit 31 home runs and drove in over 100 runs. Unless they wanted to separate him from his brother. And last year, all of a sudden, this lumberi...

Re: 3/29 GT: Hancock on Peacock @ 4:20
Because the Mariners have become a solid team in recent years, it’s a precarious situation for M’s fans. Many here will be really disturbed if they don’t make the World Series, yet only two teams do so. Just because they barely missed the World Series last year, doesn’t mean they’ll be in a similar ...

Re: Mariners extend Colt Emerson
Dipoto single-handedly cost the M's the Playoffs in 2016 when he traded away Mark Trumbo for peanuts and signed Adam Lind instead. Trumbo hit 47 Bombs and had an 850 OPS. Lind put up a .717 OPS for the M's and they finished a couple games out of the playoffs. Dipoto cost them the playoffs again in ...

Re: Evan White - the future gets him 6 yrs/$24 mil, up to $55 mil
Thought I'd drag this back up given today's signing. I’m glad you brought this up, I couldn’t think of the guy, but that was a complete disaster. To guarantee 95 million bucks to a 20 year-old kid who’s accomplished nothing, is absurd. He’d have to have superhuman maturity beyond his years to adjus...

I still can’t believe they got Donovan, what a stud, they never did get guys like that.
You can thank Andy McKay for developing such a deep farm system, so they can finally deal from strength!
